ACU Announces Grand Opening & Open House for DuPont Home Loan Center

South Sound lender establishes central location to better serve Pierce and Thurston Counties

DuPont, WA – America’s Credit Union (ACU) is excited to announce that it has opened a new, full-service Home Loan Center, located at 1495 Wilmington Drive in DuPont, WA. On June 5, 2018, an Opening Day event was hosted at the new site, which included Harmon Brewery beer on tap, Diamond Knot Root Beer floats, Farrelli’s barbecue, and giveaways. Guests included members of DuPont City Council, DuPont small business owners, Pierce and Thurston county realtors, ACU members, and DuPont Mayor Mike Courts.

Since they started their mortgage program 15 years ago, ACU has helped upwards of 1,000 members finance their dream-homes. They now have a department of seven people with over 100 years of combined experience.

“Many credit unions and banks do some sort of mortgage lending from their branches. As we have grown our home loan services to include VA, home improvement, and other home loan products, we decided to build a storefront Home Loan Center that would allow us to focus on taking care of that market. It shows our commitment to their needs and creates a convenient, positive atmosphere. We are very proud of what we have accomplished,” said Ken Leonard, ACU President/CEO.
