Empowering Service Members with The Honor Foundation

America’s Credit Union recently had the honor of hosting twenty-five service members transitioning out of the military as part of The Honor Foundation’s program at the JBLM Campus. This initiative program is designed to equip service members with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the civilian workforce.
During their visit, the service members engaged with department heads from Accounting, Information Technology, Information Security, and Marketing. These leaders shared insights into the various job opportunities available within their fields, highlighting the education and certifications needed for success. The discussions offered a look into the diverse career paths that are available.
In addition to learning about potential career opportunities, the service members received practical advice on hiring and interview techniques from one of our HR Specialists and ACU President, Philip Prothero. These tips are crucial for navigating the job market and making a strong impression with potential employers.
America’s Credit Union was the final stop of the day for these service members, who had already visited several other businesses as part of a comprehensive exposure to different industries. The Honor Foundation is committed to setting service members up for success in their post-military careers and ACU is proud to add support. By providing them with the tools and knowledge they need, they hope to make their transition to civilian life as smooth and successful as possible.
Thank you to The Honor Foundation for organizing this impactful program, and to the service members for their dedication and commitment.
