If you have an ACU auto or personal loan, you may be eligible to skip some payments and use the extra cash for unexpected bills or other expenses.
How Does Skip-a-Pay Work?
Under this program, you will only pay a $30 processing fee for each payment you choose to skip, freeing up funds to spend on gifts, travel, or other holiday expenses.
- Log in to our Online Banking site
- Navigate to “Transfers & Payments” in the menu, and select “Make a Transfer.”
- Choose the applicable account/loan, and select “Skip a Payment” under “Transfer Details.”
- Select “Yes” to confirm, then “Transfer Now.”
- Skip Your Payment! Your loan payment for the month will be deferred, giving you extra cash for other expenses.

Is there a limit to how many times I can use Skip-a-Pay?

Yes. Members in good standing can use Skip-a-Pay up to twice a year.

Can I skip payments on all types of loans?

Skip-a-Pay is available for most loan types, but some restrictions apply. Check with an ACU Member Service Representative for full details.
Terms and conditions: Skip a Payment requests are based on approval criteria established by the credit union. All loans eligible to skip their payment will automatically show on Online Banking. A fee of $30 will be deducted from a checking or savings account for this service at the time the request is processed. This fee will not be charged against any minimum balance requirements. Acceptance of this offer will extend the term of the loan and interest will continue to accrue. Mortgage and home equity loans are excluded from this program. A maximum of two payments in the past 12 months may be skipped. No consecutive skips (two months in a row). This service is subject to change without notice and other restrictions may apply. Skipping a payment may affect GAP and other insurance products; check with insurance provider for full details and conditions.
